Strictly Come Dancing star Letitia Dean has shared the secret to her two stone weight loss – including what she has for dinner.
The Atkinson’s star, who is best known for playing Sharon Rickman on the BBC soap, has revealed how she managed to slim down over the past year.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Letitia, 57, said: “I’ve been working hard and I’m in the best shape of my life.”
The actress, who is a size 10, admitted that she was “unhappy” with her weight before she embarked on her health journey.
Letitia explained that her sister Carolyn, who is a nurse, helped her to understand the importance of eating a healthy diet.
The star, who has been married to Kirk Staplehurst since 2002, said: “I was eating too much sugar and not enough vegetables.
“I’ve now cut out sugar and I have vegetables with every meal.”
As well as eating a healthy diet, Letitia revealed that she also works out five times a week.
The star, who is currently appearing on the West End stage in Chicago, said: “I do a lot of cardio to keep my heart healthy.
“I also lift weights to keep my bones healthy and to improve my posture.”
Letitia also credited her weight loss to making small changes to her lifestyle, such as taking the stairs instead of the lift.
The star said: “I’ve made lots of small changes that have made a big difference.
“I feel so much better and I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.”
