A new study finds that cutting back on carbohydrates could help treat both diabetes and prediabetes.
The study, published in the journal Diabetes Care, looked at 452 adults with either diabetes or prediabetes. Participants were randomly assigned to one of three diet groups: a low-carb diet, a moderate-carb diet, or a high-carb diet.
