James Martin is a British chef who underwent a huge weight loss transformation while eating exactly the same.
Martin, who is best known for his appearances on Saturday Kitchen, recently revealed that he slimmed down from 16st to 12st by making a few small changes to his diet and lifestyle.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain, the 53-year-old said: “I’ve not changed what I eat, I’ve not changed my portion sizes, I’ve not changed my cooking, I’ve not joined a gym.”
“I’ve just changed when I eat,” he continued. “So I have an early supper now instead of late at night. That’s all I’ve done.”
Martin also credited his weight loss to cutting out alcohol and cutting down on his sugar intake.
“I gave up alcohol for two years,” he said. “I don’t really drink anyway, maybe the odd glass of wine, but I gave it up completely and that made a difference.”
“I also cut right back on sugar,” he added. “I used to have two or three spoonfuls in my coffee and now I have one. I don’t have any in my tea. And I’ve cut out all sugary snacks.”
The chef also revealed that he now weighs himself every day, which he says has helped to keep him on track.
“I didn’t used to weigh myself but now I step on the scales every morning,” he said. “It’s become like brushing my teeth, it’s just something I do.”
Martin’s weight loss transformation is truly inspiring, and proves that making small changes to your diet and lifestyle can have a big impact on your waistline.
