A healthy weight is crucial for our physical and mental wellbeing, so it’s no surprise that more and more of us are trying to lose weight. For some, the process is a successful one, but for others, it can be an uphill battle.
One woman who knows just how difficult it can be to shift those extra pounds is 37-year-old mum-of-two Sarah Louise Johnstone. After struggling with her weight for years, Sarah finally decided enough was enough and set herself the target of losing five stone.
The turning point came when Sarah stepped on the scales and saw just how much she had to lose.

“I used to suffer from terrible back pain and struggling to breathe when I walked up the stairs,” she said. “Since losing the weight, all of those problems have gone away. I feel so much healthier and happier now.”
Sarah’s advice for anyone else struggling with their weight is to “just take that first step and give it a go”.
“I promise you, it will be worth it,” she said.
